Where was her deputy? Sunstar shrugged, she couldn't wait for Colouredcanvas all day. The white and ginger spotted she-cat jumped up onto a tall boulder (I checked WC Wikki) and yowled for the cats to get read for patrols. We'll need about two border patrols and one hunting patrol, Sunstar thought. Darn, she hadn't assigned patrols for ages! It's was fun though, and it reminded her of kithood, playing on the gorse nursery and getting into mischief. What fun but she had grown out of that now, mostly. She still had the energy and personality of a kit but now she was leader she didn't really have time for much fun. "Couloredcanvas?" she mewed, hoping the deputy would help her. Was two border patrols too little? Did they need more hunting patrols? Sunstar's mind had gone blank, mornings did this to her, although sometimes she could be a scatter brain, but not often. (Sorry for long post, new characters give me LOADS of muse  ) |

Rabbitfoot, a shaded cream tom, bounded towards his leader. "Morning, Sunstar," he said, shaking frost from his whiskers. "Border patrol today?"

"Hello Rabbitfoot!" Sunstar mewed, "Could you take a patrol towards The Gorge? The river might be frozen and RiverClan might have been looking for prey here." Sunstar looked around for more cats to join patrol when a wind ruffled her fur. Looking up she saw a blizzard coming towards them. "Wait, maybe we should get as much prey as possible before the blizzard comes," she meowed nervously. It wasn't like her to be nervous or unhappy so that showed she thought it was going to be a problem, a huge one.

Rabbitfur ruffled his thin coat against the wind. The grey sky over head was looking pretty threatening. It looked as if it would snow. Hard. He looked at the two she-cats, his ears flicking. "So, patrolling the gorge now?" Rabbitfoot meowed, taking a few steps towards the moors.

"Yes, if you would like," Sunstar mewed to Rabbitfur. She flicked her tail in greeting to her deputy as she was speaking and walked over. "You can take over if you like," she told her. Sunstar looked at the empty fresh-kill pile, thoughts tumbling and doing cartwheels in her head. "This blizzard is going to be a problem," she muttered.

"Want to come with?" Rabbitfoot asked Coloredcanvas, his tail flicking. He shook his fur flat when the wind ruffled it violently.

"Sure," said Rabbitfoot to Ariespaw. His creamy shaded fur was ruffled violently by the wind, sending it flying in all directions. His ears flicked in annoyance at the cold breeze, his hazel eyes narrowed slightly against the wind currents whipping his face.
